Niedersachsen is investing €6.05 million in Waste2Value’s thermolysis facility - strengthening the circular economy and sending a clear signal to international investors.
Waste2Value – Fortschritt im chemischen Recycling in Niedersachsen
By supporting the construction of Waste2Value’s new thermolysis facility, Niedersachsen is strengthening its role as a driver of sustainable industrial innovation. The modular plant in Nienburg is designed to process composite and mixed plastics that are difficult to recycle mechanically, returning them to the value chain. With €6.05 million in state funding through the Joint Task for the Improvement of Regional Economic Structures, the project contributes both to technological progress and regional development.
- €6.05 million in state funding
- €20.1 million total investment
- 27 new permanent jobs
- Capacity for up to three pyrolysis reactors
The technology offers new ways to recover materials that previously posed challenges for recycling. This contributes to lower CO₂ emissions and provides companies with additional options for resource efficient production. The project also illustrates how Niedersachsen is promoting innovation and creating favourable conditions for modern industrial value creation.
